The Monkey 2025
Was really hoping to love this movie, and I came in expecting a horror comedy. Unfortunately, the intentionally awkward humor did not land, and the most memorable kills were shown in the trailer. Characters were stiff and boring which killed any remaining interest. Except for Petey #justice4petey

Evil Dead II 1987
The added comedic elements didnt work for me as well as the straight forward horror original. Effects were obviously better but not as artistically interesting given the no-budget restrictions of the OG. At least the camera shots were all focused though 🤷♂️
