Godzilla Minus One 2023
A powerful and deeply emotional anti-war story, featuring a movie score that rivals Past Lives for best soundtrack of the year, thoughtful character development, and one epic monster. I can’t ask for anything more from a film. Safe to say I’m a Godzilla guy now

All of Us Strangers 2023
Watched with my brother right after a sobfest of a dinner in which we talked about our dead dad and the things we wish we could tell him now. So naturally, we got absolutely wrecked and left the theater emotionally spent. All of Us Strangers really nails human loneliness and the idea of grief as a lifelong process. Phenomenal performances from all of the (smaller) cast, but Andrew Scott and Claire Foy’s scenes stuck with me the most. Will watch this one again when it hits theaters in December.
