this was such a good movie what the heck😭😭 this retold the historical events of america and the story of marginalised communities whose hard work made the nation’s current prosperity possible. though focused on Chinese immigrant coolies, it also featured Native Americans (who adopted 阿鬼/ghost after he was orphaned in a mining accident) and Black people who worked in the background, under-appreciated.
it was a beautiful mix of laughter and tears, at the despicable ways the white people…
