  It's like someone made "Grand Theft Auto: Okinawa" fifty years ago.

  Also, probably the closest I've seen a yakuza movie come to a HK-style heroic bloodshed film.

  Where have you been all my life? An early-60s London-set wall-to-wall jazz Othello where the cigarette smoke is thick and the Rolls are so shiny they gleam in the dead of night.

  Iago is (of course) the star here; his weasel eyes dart around the room from the corner of the frame, seemingly choreographing the action. The jazz is the Greek chorus, ratcheting up the tension as Iago's plot unfolds.

  The ending is great and still tragic (although not for who you think) even sans murder.

Following
