I loved the score and I thought the story was really good. I love how it feels inspired by movies from the 1940s that’s a dope direction to take on your first movie. A lot of beautiful shots and I thought Spike Lee killed the acting in this, he’s an underrated actor. There was definitely some mediocre acting moments in here and I do wish they fleshed out Opal’s story more but overall very good movie. Last complaint was the pacing was a little slow and I do wish the acting was more engaging but still I was enjoying myself.

Piece By Piece 2024
This was genuinely great. Perfect movie for me because Pharrell is my favorite artist and I love legos but the way they told the story was actually beautiful and inspiring. I like that it doesn’t overstay its welcome and the song selection in the movie was actually incredible. A few small gripes I have is I wish Chad was more acknowledged, I wish we got to hear directly about In My Mind, and some of the timeline is wonky like…

Do the Right Thing 1989
This movie is brilliant, it’s Saturn in real life. The score is amazing, and I love the mix of black and italian culture its like my 2 favorite type of movies in one. Mookie is a great character he wasn’t going, and Da Mayor is a fantastic character. It does a really great job at making you feel every emotion they want you to feel.
