Feel like it may be dickriding a lil to say this a masterpiece rn but it’s definitely something I’ll be stewing on for a while. Those first few minutes felt like seeing the baby jack section of the tree of life again for the first time. A whole new cinematic language or something. Major!

Solid debut feature from Rachel. Everything post the Olympics will probably stick with me more than the first half. Feel like that’s where Ryan Destiny and Brian Tyree Henry really get to shine and they do!

The Cody Project 2021
As much as I wanted a peak into the Wyoming sessions and Ye’s process in general, this just felt off. From the flying guys out to work on a movie with no script just because, the way this is edited like TMZ, and Dame seemingly taking advantage of Ye in his manic state. It’s a lot more worrying than those reports back in the summer. In this he looks like a broken man just trying to make anything so he doesn’t have to deal with his family stuff.
