  forgot i watched this and had to log it because once i finished i needed several hours to process. i don't think i ever got over that first misogynistic spiel when he was talking bout "your clock is ticking" but i love flo so much and will watch anything to support my girl

  Enjoyed this movie and here’s why:

  Just when I was wondering where the Black people were, in comes two Black characters who made me realize that this was not just a “feminist” commentary but also one on the ‘racialization’ of intellectualism (why the first big thinkers that come to mind would be white). The two Black people provided Bella insight onto the conditions of life (very DuBoisian if I might say) and literally guided her to her liberation.

  I waited to watch this one because I believed I had to see it in theaters. Eventually, I gave into temptation and watched it on a streaming service, and WOW can I say I was missing out. I love everything about this movie. I love the multiverse metaphor for mundanity. I love Michelle Yeoh. I love the costuming. I love the production. I love the story. I love love. This movie is one for my first and second generation immigrants; it speaks to what so many feel they lack: compassion. Beautiful. Beautiful.
