It's fine I guess. Introduces the the extended family of the cannibals from the first film, visiting from a nearby sketchy wooded area . It's hard to tell who is actually going to be the final girl/guy as some of the cast are a bit unlikable. There's some good gore but it all feels just like a very pale imitation of TCM or The Hills Have Eyes.

Whiplash 2014
I feel traumatized just from watching Fletcher yell at almost everyone. I definitely didn't expect this to be as intense as it was. Not sure I've seen a high tier, David Simon level of insults in a film since Glengarry Glen Ross, though some of them are just unquestionably mean spirited. Teller and Simmons are both amazing in this and the ending is so good that I didn't even mind there were some very minor unresolved plot lines.

Street Trash 2024
I'm a huge fan of the original so I was mildly interested when this was first announced. Then hearing about the plot and that it'd be set in South Africa, I'm pretty sure I groaned out loud. The trailer didn't help matters. I finally decided to start watching it last night and made it about 10 minutes or so in and just turned it off. The fx seemed adequate but it was wholly lacking in charm, wit or comedic moments. Bleh.
