Who Saw Her Die? 1972
Watched on Criterion 24/7 so I missed the first 15 or so minutes but it still counts
Didn’t notice George Lazenby under all the facial hair and dubbed Italian

Companion 2025
Many of what is supposed to be its most significant moments or reveals had almost no real weight to them.
Maybe it would be more entertaining if this story hasn’t already been told in better ways but arguably retelling a story is about the execution not the story itself. It’s as if Ex Machina was one of the on-the-nose Black Mirror episodes that you don’t remember the name of but was like, I guess it had some good stuff in it. And by good stuff I mainly mean Sophie Thatcher’s performance.

Black Christmas 2019
Could go down as a cool relic of modern b-movie horror / remakes that refreshingly isn’t part of Ti West’s homage / nostalgia school. But at the moment execution doesn’t feel quite there yet. Still a big fan of Imogen Poots, though.
Also, nothing is more triggering than a man quoting Camille Paglia.
