Carried by action, and weighed down by a story meant to serve as a continuation of two separate films over a decade apart and an already messy spinoff show about two sidekicks trying to fill the boots of their mighty hero.
It’s not written to its potential, it doesn’t have great visuals, the soundtrack was not memorable, and I noticed acting and dialogue that was very iffy. The film was hard to take seriously and only exists as a starting point for the X-Men in the series.
Even then, I had a great time with the action sequences.
