  sickening and depraved! a shockingly stark portrait of the british mind, so unflinchingly absurd and grotesque, so blithely entertained by three colors as long as they keep appearing!

  i wish there had been any good writing in it. i think the production design was brilliantly crafted and so captivating, but the viewing experience devolved into a blinding sludge that greenaway’s ham-fisted dialogue only served to distort. much of this felt like a dream, which is cool! but ultimately disappointing upon…
