If this is your second watching of anything Bong Joon Ho, you might find yourself surprised at the comedic timing of everything within this movie. To the overt political commentary, comedic relief, and absurdly evil bad guys-- this movie is fantastic. Very familiar to his earlier work as he touches back to his sci fi roots. Pattinson and Ackie have a fantastic on screen chemistry, with Pattinson's voice modulations being one of his most fantastic points of this movie.

Prince of Darkness 1987
It was good. Creepy. Offputting. A perfect admixture of sci fi and religious horror— this move is a fun Lovecraftian take on evil.
The ending was a bit anti climactic in a way that I sort of respect considering it’s the 2nd installment of the Apocalypse Series. However, the connection of these films aren’t obvious.
I also really appreciate the way John Carpenter incorporated characters of color— not really learning into stereotypes in this particular film (can’t say the same…
