Bored to death. Expected more psychodrama but got a facefull of Depp's insufferable tantrums. I'd endure Keanue's atrocious English accent in Coppola's Dracula for an eternity before giving this flaming heap of millennial clickbait another side-glance.

The Manitou 1978
This film has a lot of themes; Cosmic and Visceral Horror, Indigenous, Ritual and Spiritualism.
I was surprised to come across this film so soon after reading the novel Throwback by Mark Manley. The idea of a fetus growing on the upper portion of the spine (cervical spine) in both pieces of media seems so uncanny. I'd be interested to know whether this inspired the book, was this parallel thinking on the part of two separate creative minds or is there more reference to this phenomenon in other literature?
Anyway, great flick -- would recommend!Translated from by -
