"Nah, imma do my own thing."

Across the Spiderverse more than achieved the impossible task of living up to it's predecessor. Not many sequels are able to spin their own tale and successfully follow up what came before, but Across the Spiderverse thrives in both. The action and the visuals somehow surpassed Into the Spiderverse, a task I thought to be impossible. The characters, performances, music, and heart are as strong as ever. It's still a Miles-centric film, but the…

Killer Klowns really bring throuples together.

This is my favorite horror film of all time. Yes, there are better films out there, and my scores for those films largely reflect that, but this film is just a joy from to watch. It's as effective as a comedy as it is a "horror" film. I must say it's probably the most insane movie of all time from the visuals, and I absolutely love those unhinged clown aesthetics.

    Tobey Maguire jumpscare.

Leave it to Damien Chazelle to blow you away each and every time. Babylon is a phenomenal, heartbreaking, and unforgettable film about passion, change, and art. Every character has depth and nuance, every actor gives a mind-blowing performance, every shot is stunning, and every scene is filled to the brim with purpose. From start to finish, it is a roller coaster in the best way possible. Seeing how the characters change through times is uplifting as often as it is heartbreaking. This is an incredible movie, and one I will never forget.

    This movie is my cheeseburger.

What a movie. It's a feature length dialogue between the jaded creator and the jaded consumer. It critiques the industry, creation, and consumption of "art" in an interestinh way while ALSO just being a great watch. It criticizes art without content and content without art while maintaining both within itself. It's truly a masterclass in good cinema.
