  The more I think about it, the more I dislike it. I love bong's stuff but this feels beneath him. Lots of obvious low hanging fruit condemnation that feels too easy and a lot that feels like a hodgepodge of underdeveloped ideas. Lots of interesting fodder that seems to be ignored for obvious swipes at capitalism, imperialism, Christianity, corruption, hypocrisy, and trump. Everything clever here takes a back seat to preachy and ham fisted political grandstanding that hits the viewer the head.

  Much more charming than I was expecting. Very silly and nails many of the tropes of Kaiju movies as well as American sci fi from the 50s. Clever in a dad joke kind of way.

  Lotsnof people get blown up. Pat seems very mad and bummed he's in the movie. James lew gets greasy for a minute and there's way more nudity and sex.
