  I can't remember where, but someone described this film as "suffocating" and I think that's exactly the word for it. The frame moves in and out like inhales and exhales. The pace moves up and down like inhales and exhales. Steve rises and falls like inhales and exhales. You exhale when you feel Steve's mother's pain. You inhale when you feel her love. And you try to breathe in as much as you can until your inhales and exhales blend…
