  Feels kind of mistuned. To really work, something like this needs to be campier or more political or more creative or something. It felt close but not quite there. But also it was distracting while I'm recovering from surgery and sometimes that's good enough

  Not sexy enough to be a sex thriller and also not thrilling enough to be a sex thriller. It just exists in a weird liminal space of not belonging. The two lead performances are so incredible, though, that it feels somehow necessary. Like, every single thought process Kidman has is communicated so clearly and, at times, painfully, that the movie is endlessly compelling.

  This movie blows hard. It’s literally one hour (or more) too long for no reason. The action is repetitive, has zero emotional stakes, and is not funny. The lore doesn’t make sense and is stupid. This franchise used to be fun because it showed us glimpses of a world that seemed fully fleshed out. Now it just feels like Calvinball with no rhyme or reason. Also, it kinda sucks that John Wick has turned into knock-off Neo.

  * Keanu is a hottie
  * Richard Grant looks like Ed Norton, so you get to think about Ed Norton
  * Billy Campbell looks like Kevin Kline, so you get to think about Kevin Kline
  * Any time shadows are a focal point, it slaps

  Cons:
  * Is too long by about half an hour
  * Feels too long by about half a century
  * Boring
  * No tension
  * Not scary
  * Not sexy
  * Seriously, I cannot…
