Very well-made film; very good music, nice images, good pacing etc. etc.

This film is clearly trying to do two social commentaries- one on women and one on auteur theory, though they kinda blend into one- but I'm finding it hard to get a cohesive statement on either. Maybe it'll grow on me, or I'm not seeing something really obvious, but it feels a bit politically underwhelming.
This film is a bit of a mess but its protagonist is too so its fine.
I really like how this film talks ab love, its real cool.
Parts of this feels like a prototype for ladybird, which for the most part is a better film, so I can't help but compare it in my mind.
