I've seen people say that this film was ahead of its time, I jsut don't understand how, though.
Theres a thing about b movies from the late 70s having big orchestral scores(see also: Star Wars) and it just makes me wonder if orchestras and Gustav Holst clones were just that abundant at the time?

This film is clearly trying to do two social commentaries- one on women and one on auteur theory, though they kinda blend into one- but I'm finding it hard to get a cohesive statement on either. Maybe it'll grow on me, or I'm not seeing something really obvious, but it feels a bit politically underwhelming.
