It's moviein time
Damn, what a disappointment. Why does every movie from the 2000s look this?
"You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth!"
Damn bro.
A biopic should either teach you something new or make you consider things from another perspective. This does neither.
Shockingly shallow, the film is just a highlight reel of "REAGAN TOP TEN MOMENTS (Watch till end)" so that boomers can point at the screen and clap like Rick Dalton. No issue, moment, or topic is covered with any nuance, substance, or depth. Not only is this boring from an academic and historical perspective, but it's shitty filmmaking.

There was a dream that was Rome.
Quite the experience. Every line is fire, the Hans Zimmer score is beautiful, and it looks amazing. There is some clunky pacing, it has that 2000s low frame rate slomo I hate, and a few times when I feel the editing is too quick and frenetic during fights. However, this all pales compared to incredible performances (Phoenix is magnetic) a wonderful recreation of Rome, and a kick ass story.
Between this and Alien I guess I can forgive Scott House of Gucci.
