  I am writing my essay about this so I had to rewatch. It’s just so good every time I watch it, I genuinely cannot comprehend how this is a DEBUT film. Oscar and Logan watched with me and I got to mansplain certain scenes to them #filmbro

  Can’t really get behind the blatant racism that happened almost the entire time during all of the Thailand scenes but most of the rest was decent. Happy we got some lesbian rep though yay!

  Roberts’ character was a bit unbearable but I absolutely loved all the side characters and Hugh Grant is just the perfect male lead imo! The story felt a bit lackluster at times but I still really enjoyed it but I do wish there was a bit more chemistry! Cute romcom but a bit overhyped for being the most famous and popular romcom of all time.

  Why is he such a douchebag? But on a real note, I didn’t feel like there was a “point” in this movie. At times, it felt a bit directionless and just Timothee Chalamet being an asshole with a side of Bob Dylan so I wasn’t entirely enthralled. I think the acting was genuinely phenomenal. I think every person, including Timothee, acted their asses off and that was hands down the most impressive part. However, the story itself was not as interesting as I hoped it to be!
