Absolutely adored the visuals. The tale felt inconsequential/incomplete but I had a good time

For August Horror hunt: #1- film in your watchlist with the earliest release date

This is so unbelievably classic that it's actually funny. Bella Lugosi is the image that springs to mind when thinking of Dracula and there's a reason for it. I had a lot of fun with this, though the first two thirds were definitely my favourite.

August horror hunt day #2: Watch a film directed or written by a POC

This is a fantastically atmospheric melancholy horror. The feeling of loneliness and abandonment is so evident throughout, and though it's a slow story, it builds so well and I really enjoyed it. The ending had the closure I was looking for, and there were many moments that were tense and exciting. I don't think I'd regularly come back to it, but I'm very glad I watched it.
