the thing about this film is that it's so very ambiguous, at least to me. so many questions fill my mind.
is Ellen a victim of her own desires, or is she a victim of Nosferatu himself? is the plague a metaphor for Ellen's shame regarding the needs of the flesh, which can only be relieved momentarily by succumbing to them, or is it a tool for Orlok to coerce the young woman by threatening to kill her loved ones?…
first of all, let me clarify that i pirated this movie; my money has much better things to be spent on <3
with that out of the way, let me say that i didn't even get past the first 10 minutes. in fact, the final straw was the moment she told him
