  Solid first half, falls apart in the second, especially after that terrible Italy arc. Don't see the reason for including so many plot points if they're going to be shown only when it's necessary (like heroin addiction), or entirely solved off-screen.

  I just love how even nearly 40 years later the main topics of this film still hold relevance. It tells a fairly simple story of a man and a woman, drifting apart in the world of booming capitalism, struggling with the ability to convey their true emotions, and hiding them behind their faux stoic personas, peer-pressured gestures and tinted sunglasses.
