  I paid to watch a Mattel advertisement and it wasn't even that good. 
  The story is lame, the bottom line is basic. Acting and photography is good and there are a couple of moving moments but overall it's definitely not a movie I'd watch again or recommend. We didn't need this shallow feminism tutorial, especially because it's not even that clever and told me things I already knew about, but in a very simplistic way.

  When I first saw this almost 20 years ago I was mesmerised by the beauty of it. Like a moving painting that nurtures the eyes with its beautiful colours and the sophisticated martial choreographies. 20 years later this is still true, and although I now find the story slightly cheesy, I still find the final scene in the snow to be one of the most aesthetically enchanting moments of cinema.
