  don’t fw Wes Anderson I haven't watched this in roughly 12 years but I love analyses about rich wealthy white families it’s always deeply sad and hilarious and always incestuous [think Succession or Girls]. 
  it feels like bad acting (apart from Huston & Glover) until it becomes fine to watch and then almost good

  - chas still my favorite tenenbaum 
  - elliot smith scene doesn’t get better the 109th watch 
  - Owen Wilson always plays my favorite characters weather he be side or main
  - RIP gene hackman

  “we come here to become human” maaaaan…. I’m thinking of humans creating and acting and making art in times of unimaginable trauma and strife. Shows like Station Eleven illustrate this really well too. Gorgeous poignant fucking abrasive & important; it’s not your typical incarceration trauma-porn fueled story and I’ll die on that hill. Art is cathartic, art is liberation 

  One need not be a prison abolitionist to watch this and see these men as human. artists. flawed and angry, but reforming.…
