    Yuck.
    Horrid.
    Mud.
    Rain.
Please die Heathcliffe - you toxic animal abusing cunt.
Happy to see Cathy die too.
Actually, if all the humans could die…would love that thanks.
This is most likely the truest adaptation of this book - England with its wind and grey and misery. Men with their bullshit. Heathcliffe abusing animals in the way he is abused.
    Trés Colonial.

Stressful. Edge of seat watch. Brilliant. Love Andrea Arnold and her shots of trees from cars.

this has pushed me over the edge. I feel like going Luigi Mangione at the Aust film INDUSTRY.
Did screen Australia not pay these people enough to research what might actually happen in a real prison or how an actual person really talks?

When I wasn’t enraged by the laziness I was cringing at a little kid being so self aware and insightful that he describes adult behaviour with more clarity than a $500p/h psychologist.

Paul Kelly is a rich kid…

Never bored and incredibly emotional. At the time, the notion of acknowledging a woman’s absolute boredom of being wife/mother and ignored otherwise was pretty out there.
It’s not revolutionary itself but anytime we spotlight the experience of often ignored women, it’s a service.
This is about the average woman. Which is also revolutionary.
Shirley doesn’t take down a government or an evil corporation or triumph for the people against all odds. She refinds herself which is just as important. She makes her life matter to her.

Often deeply sad and always piss funny, this is the kind of movie we need to be making again.
