The Seventh Seal 1957
Watching this a second time, I'm struck by how much is packed into this film. There's no shot or line that isn't serving a very specific purpose - either moving the story forward or pondering the biggest questions of existence. Nearly every scene seems to display a commentary on life or contemplates a philosophical question.
