I've never seen the original. Repeating the plot of King Kong (1933) as a "satire" doesn't make any sense. Possibly Godzilla's worst ever head design. Kong being a rubber suit and not stop-motion is quite sad, even though it does make sense. It does not make sense that he is orangutan colored for some reason. All the Americanized parts are terrible.

Cricket on the Hearth 1967
Struck blind when her fiance drowns at sea, Bertha can no longer work in her father's toy shop and they promptly get evicted. Her father manages to get a job working for an evil fat guy who owns a toy shop under horrible conditions, so he lies to Blind Bertha and tells her everything is splendid. None of these plotlines are resolved by the end of the movie, but there is a cricket.
