The choreography was awesome. The racist directing… not so much. Natalie Wood does not get the Hispanic pass. Not even a little bit. The music is fun, and the set design is great, but seeing this for the first time it felt like finally understanding what Asian people must feel when seeing Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
