  this movie is such a perfect example of how men like tom expect so much without giving much. they expect perfect love, the perfect girl, perfect happiness forever; they think they’re entitled to it. and when they’re disappointed and become cynical and disbelieving in love, they blame media, they blame everything and everyone around them except themselves. maybe because admitting that they’re the problem is too painful to their fragile male egos.
