    This strict and raw style of Hithcock film craft, suits really well grounded plot thread, there is a lot to these characters which isn't made clear upfront which i like. Despite the style and narration being so grounded the horror itself doesn't lose it's unknown factor for me, the mystery remains and adds a lot more interpretation value. Some effects did age poorly, but some are still pretty good! The suspens is very good!

    Overall decent classic horror movie!

    Nausicaä with a touch of dark comedy
    ----> Doomer Nausicaä

    Even though it was at times a bit chaotic and sometimes harshly put togheter I still enjoyed the hell out of it!
    Extreamly fun in its nihilizm!

    Pattison is great! He can show off his range of acting with two extremes.

    I always liked when Mark Ruffalo goes a bit unhinged which in this movie he basically goes full on bonkers caricature(but not really :^) ) and I love that.…

    This might be one of the most matured Ghibli movies. Takahata's opus magnum.
    Both animation and storywise.
    It still retains that nostalgic, "childlike" imagination that Ghibli movies are known for but somehow manages to add a lot more fairy or rather mythical symbolic meaning. It is really amazing!

    A adored how animation style change to reflect emotions.

    As always with Ghibli production - Its great!

    beautiful, empathetic and pacifist story set in an imaginative world. Its rather straightforward and not that subtle, but I feel it adds to the overall punch of the message. Also visualy - amazing! I had flashbacks to my Legend of Zelda Tears of Kingdom playthrough, you can clearly see how this movie inspired that game.

    I also loved the music!

    Double feature with Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
