  A few random thoughts that mostly have nothing to do with the film:

  This was one of six (!) holiday set films released in November-December 1994: The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th Street, Little Women, Nobody’s Fool and Mixed Nuts being the other. The Ref also set during Christmas was released in April.
