  It is both a massive achievement by Astron 6 and a sad indictment of the state of the current film industry that this filmed in a garage on a budget of $1000 movie about a dude named Manborg fighting a vampire nazi from Hell named fucking Count Draculon tells a more coherent story and seems to respect me, the viewer, more that films with budgets in the millions that I have see - even multiple new releases this year alone.…

  I could put on my book nerd hat, sit and actually make comparisons between the novel and the two films we've gotten and I know I'd find aspects of Denis' adaption that I'm unhappy with.

  Or! I could simply not do that and appreciate this for what it is - the greatest spectacle I have ever had the pleasure to experience at the theatre. You are doing yourself a disservice if you do not see this on the big screen - this is a once in a generation film.
