Killers of the Flower Moon 2023
While I enjoyed the film a few things left me with mixed feelings. Scorsese's choice of narrative perspective unintentionally elevates the criminals over the victims, similar to his gangster films. Unlike his previous works where gangsters clash amongst themselves, this story could have benefited from a more responsible storytelling.
Additionally, the portrayal of female characters raised eyebrows. The calm demeanor and forgiveness of a woman embracing her husband, despite knowing he is responsible for the brutal murder of her entire…
