I am not sure how this manages to weave so much tension into such a soothing sequence of images. The Pacific Northwest vibes are immaculate and captured with a gentle touch. Yes it’s the tale of friendship grown out of necessity but also the warmth of love for fellow man, the capacity to transform suffering into a courageous journey and distinctly American personal mythology. the oily cakes did look quite tasty with the honey and cinnamon so that prob adds a star right there.
