Maybe not hard since this was made in the 80s, but it’s got a really great 80s feel to it. Lots of cool music with great synth woodwinds, lots of running from payphone to pay-phone, and idk cool attitude.
It’s a well put together story with a good pacing of intrigue+questions, then info+answers.
Really interesting to see the difference between a modern day made-for-TV hallmark movie and this. It’s small scale, but the action and suspense genuinely hit for me.
And of course, Jason Bateman is great. Very charming. While his character makes some questionable decisions, I never stop being in his corner.
