This is a solid and powerful film. The cinematography for this film was gorgeous! The mirror scene and the sped-up shadow-boxing scene towards the end was superb!
My only issue with this movie is the way it was shot. I felt like the POV shots made the the scenes fill very constrained. Which is probably what the director was going for, but it was really distracting. The Brutalist used very close up/imitate shots and I never felt this way watching it.

This movie felt like a watered down version of The Wrestler. Towards the end of the movie I was worried we weren't going to see the actual show. They showed a brief snippet of it but I wish there was more as the movie revolves around the show and it is special to the main character.
Jamie Lee Curtis' character was fan-freaking-tactic and the soundtrack was decent.
The one positive thing I can see about this movie is that Janelle Monae looked fucking beautiful as always.
