  This is incredibly ahead of its time. I feel like a lot of older films that can be considered as having good LGBTQ representation at the time feel dated in some aspects.   At one point Elspeth says “there’s absolutely nothing going on underneath.” That pretty much sums up this whole thing.

  This line and another scene towards the beginning convinced me that this film is supposed to be all style with 0 substance. I wasn’t liking the movie but I could at least respect that.
