    Completely unrelenting. Every frame is filled with absolute desolation; the brutality, the emotions, the heavily muted colour palette that makes other colours, specifically the reds and oranges of fire and blood, stand out so much. The sound design is maybe the most harrowing part though, with the deafening sounds of bombs and gunshots rupturing not only the character’s hearing, but our own as well, and not only for a few moments but for uncomfortably long periods of time.     Absolutely amazing and incredibly interesting. Cant say that I understood everything going on and I probably never will, but I do have a ton of ideas running through my head and at least have somewhat of an interpretation that I can defend. The whole film feels like some extremely fucking bizarre fourth wall break in which as much as the two leads have their minds become increasingly intertwined, the viewer as this almost “third character” becomes intertwined with them too.…
