  1 star for Isabelle Adjani's out of this world performance. Too many metaphors kill the metaphor. Also, it's a horror movie because of Sam Neill's acting. Nearly unwatchable.

  It was fine for a few minutes before Clementine appeared. Then everything turned so grating and chaotic and nonsensical and not in a good way. Was I supposed to feel emotionally engaged with the manic pixie bitch or the proto incel loser? Their constant hateful fighting was painful and so triggering that I had to stop the movie. I will not dwell on the faintest whiff of misogyny I smelled at the beginning because, frankly, the male protagonist is just as terrible as the female one.

  So, yes, not for me, probably annoyingly overrated or simply just not that good?
