  My personal view about Bicycle Thieves is that it represents the journey of despair.

  Since the beginning, the protagonist is desperate for a job, and does measures such as sleeping without sheets in order to achieve his goal of getting a job.   This was a really good reflection about truth. Not only we were gifted with a lot of good acting, screenwriting and cinematography, but I think the greatest value of this work is the parallel it makes with our reality.

  Innocent people beign accused for a crime and suffering, beign held captive for something they didn’t commit is one of the themes that touch me the most.
