A commentary on America’s obsession with violence and killing. Brought to you by… Oliver Stone and Quinten Tarantino?

Insane amount of grotesque cut scene visuals, Australian Robert Downey Jr, dusty and excellent soundtrack, 90s Juliette Lewis, clownified Tommy Lee Jones

This was so fucking over the top and all over the place. A total off-road adventure with a keyed up QT at the wheel. It made me laugh, it made me want to turn it off, but mostly it made me fall in love with Mallory Knox.

I know I plan on throwing more radios out the window and to voraciously eat cold cuts while talking much more from here on out.

Before you judge me for watching a film starring Marisa Tomei titled In the Bedroom, know that I’ve already judged myself.

I went into this knowing very little, despite watching a trailer that I thought reveled far too much, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I was drawn in by the promise of a quaint town in Maine in the 90s (and Marisa Tomei, of course), but I was treated with some inventive and unique cinematography, very strong acting, and…
