Frogs 1972
I have to admit that the poster for this movie is, unfortunately, much cooler than the actual thing. For a 90 minute flick, this was surprisingly slow paced, but to be fair, it's not bad enough to be a complete snooze fest. Frogs definitely has its moments (and there were at least three scenes that made me squeamish), but if it wasn't for Sam Elliott's endless charisma carrying this whole thing, this would be a pretty awful movie.

Everything I want to say essentially boils down to the fact that Vlny represents of the biggest middle fingers in recent Czech and Slovak cinematography, because as it turns out, we can make excellent movies - and all it takes is a Mádl, apparently.
Overall, great music choices and even better casting (Majer, Kotek, Hofmann and Lněnička specifically deserve all the hype they can get, and don't even get me started on the youngsters + Maštalír's unnervingly accurate Czech accent).…
