Portrait of a Lady on Fire 2019
this is a beautifully shot movie, though I think also a little indulgently long. The coda lands the plane masterfully, and the cinematography and the sound come together perfectly. I do not necessarily feel the need to rewatch this again or anytime soon due to the weight of it, but this has to be up there with La La Land and Call Me By Your Name as Top 10 Anime Heartbreaks.

Hit Man 2023
Unfortunately, I fell in love with the female lead during this movie and was unable thereafter to speak English, think critically, or find the will to live without her in my life, though I have since learned that she is the beau of Jason Momoa who, as is tradition with our namesake, is a gentleman and a scholar. Easy to digest Netflix comedy-ish show, low stakes, probably a good thing it is not showing in too many theatres, though I think Glen is in the early stages of stardom and can, in fact, carry a movie by his lonesome.
