While it’s a step up from Ayer’s first film it’s still nothing amazing. Stacked cast and generic but competent story. I knew how everything would play out, but I did like Keanu and Chris Evan’s chemistry. Solid Sunday afternoon TNT movie you catch halfway through energy.

The Black Cat 1934
Two things that stuck with me, the sets looked decades ahead of its time. Actually blew me away. Secondly the insanely dark revenge of skinning Poelzig. The glass coffins were visually stunning as well and I wasn’t sure how they managed to make it look as if the bodies are in suspended animation. The more it went on the more I liked it, if you liked The Old Dark House I’d recommend this.

The ladder waking up is one of the best gags so far in Mickey’s filmography

Parade of the Award Nominees 1932
First color Mickey short, some interesting color choices with Mickey in green shorts and Pluto who’s seemingly still in black & white. That Jekyll transformation was cool as well.
