Interstellar 2014
I haven’t seen this since it came out, and I don’t think I tried to understand it beyond the logistics of the communication across time. I vaguely recalled the basic contours of the story going in today, but this basically felt like my first time actually watching (considering?) this film.
Wow. Uhhh…is this a perfect movie? It very well might be. Please welcome the newest addition to my Top 4.

2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
Probably nothing will ever top the time I was able to watch this at the Cinerama Dome, but it was cool too see one of my favorites on the big screen again after a few years.
I don’t know why, but this film is totally engrossing. It is pretty slow, but I was lost pretty much the whole time. The sound is hypnotic.
I was also surprised by how little dialogue there is throughout the film.
