The self titled „documentary fairytale“ A Hawk As Big As a Horse is a genre bending accompaniment of the queer ornithologist and artist Lydia. The relationship between director and „subject“ comes up against limits, as director Sasha Kulaks becomes more entangled in Lydias own artistic practice. Next to their ever changing dynamic (which i can only compare to Corinna Belz: Peter Handke - In the Woods, Might be Late (2016)) the viewer experiences multiple conflicts of power.
