  Scorsese does another bang up job making a character study on an eccentric scumbag. Shockingly real and vivid depiction of mental illness, specifically OCD and autism. Performances are fantastic, and of course the directing is on point. Scorsese just really never misses, does he?

  Every time i watch this, i pick up on more and more small stuff. The dialogue is perfect, even characters that show up once or twice feel fully fleshed out based on just how they carry themselves and speak. De niro obviously is the standout here, such a cold distant performance. After seeing this movie like 3 or so times i always kind of wince whenever he has an awkward interaction or is just horribly off putting. Amazing movie, top 10 of all time if I'm gonna be entirely honest.

  Just wow. A genuinely striking piece of art that you can tell was made from a deep uncompromising pain that the creator needed to let out. Its like peeling back someone's skull and looking at the viscera and grime inside their head. Seeing the pain they've suffered as raw and unfiltered as they did. It's fucking devastating if i'm gonna be honest. I can't speak on DID but from people i've talked to with it, this seems terribly realistic. What…
