Went to watch this just to kill time and had zero expectations since I can't remember the last time I actually liked a Soderberg film. The film started in a pretty confusing way and I kept losing interest many times during the first 30 minutes but after the first act, a regular drama becomes a spy thriller with twists and turns.

Bong Joon Ho is back with another critical portrayal of capitalism but this time it is set out of Earth.
The resemblances of the characters in the movie and the mission is eerily similar to Elon Musk's Mars mission. The plot is heavily inspired from Bong's previous works Okja and Snowpiercer.
The 2 years post-production work is visible on screen and sadly the movie's predictions seem to be coming true. My only gripe is that the ending is too "and happily ever after".

I'm Thinking of Ending Things 2020
Like all of Kaufman's work I'm Thinking of Ending Things simply doesn't tell its viewer what's actually happening, it offers open interpretations to each. After the first act, much of the film is ambiguous and dream like. The scenes are long and dialogue heavy throughout the film. Jessie Buckley and Jesse Plemons are exceptional as the film's lead actors but it was the supporting actors David Thewlis and Toni Collette who were at the top of their game.
